Is NYC becoming the home of the “food fad?” We have had so many Frankenstein treats recently it’s hard to keep up. Most recently we saw Black Seed Bagels trot out a whole slew of savory and sweet food mashups. Well, step aside Black Seed, one bakery in Astoria is looking to dethrone the current mashup champs with the “Donnoli.”

Chef Vinny at Vaccaro’s Bakery Italian-staple, the cannoli, and swaps out the fried hard shell for a soft fluffy doughnut, and voilà, “The Donnoli!”
