Though the weather is finally warming up, indoor dining in NYC can expand to 50% capacity starting Friday, March 19.
Indoor dining remained closed through most of the winter due to a high COVID-19 positivity rate in the city, while regions around it reopened. Then, on February 12, it reopened for the first time since early December, at 25% capacity.
And now, it can be increased to 50% capacity, Governor Cuomo announced today. Our neighbors in New Jersey did the same shortly after.
NEW: Beginning March 19, restaurants in NYC will expand indoor dining to 50%.
NJ restaurants will likewise expand to 50% capacity on March 19 @GovMurphy and I will work together to protect the public health.
