NYC’s Columbus Day Parade 2025 falls on Monday, October 13th, and the event is considered the largest celebration of Italian American culture in the United States. (Our city also holds the record for the largest Italian festival in the country thanks to September’s Feast of San Gennaro.)
Since the annual parade draws in over 35,000 marchers and nearly one million spectators, things can become a little crowded in NYC, to say the least. We’ll give you the scoop on the event itself, routes to avoid, and where to catch the broadcast if you’re planning on staying in.
What you need to know about the NYC Columbus Day Parade 2025
Now in its 84th year, the Columbus Day Parade is a product of the Columbus Citizens Foundation, which has garnered nearly $40 million in grants and student scholarships since its founding in the 1980s. On the day of the event, spectators can expect plenty of marchers (of course), music, dance, and a fleet of classic Italian cars. Andiamo!
