You Need These Alcohol-Infused Cupcakes in Your Life
Earlier this summer we covered the ice cream shop that infuses alcohol into their flavors, but what about the other sweet treats that could benefit from a little booze-infusion?

Prohibition Bakery was the original NYC bakery to create delicious alcohol-infused cupcakes in 2011, and we’re so glad they did. Because the alcohol is added to the cupcakes after they’ve been baked, the alcoholic component of the dessert is not cooked away—which also means an ID is necessary when purchasing these baked goods.

Although they’ve closed their storefront on the Lower East Side, you can still order all of their cupcakes online! The cupcakes can be delivered to the FiDi, Midtown and Harlem areas of Manhattan, but we’re hoping they open a storefront again the future. Some of their most notable flavors include:

Old Fashioned

Whiskey, bitters, orange, and whiskey soaked cherry

Pinot noir, orange, pear, and brandy

Rum, Branca Menta, pineapple, and coconut

Pretzels & Beers

Six Point Sweet Action Ale, Nutella, pretzel, white truffle

White Russian

Kahlua, vodka, and coffee

Car Bomb

Whiskey, Bailey’s, stout, and chocolate

Sex on the Beach

Vodka, peach schnapps, orange, cranberry, and peach

Lime, tequila, triple sec, and fleur de sel

If you didn’t see the alcohol of your choice on this list, don’t freak out! There are a couple of other cupcakes we didn’t mention, one which includes gin.
