After a very successful flagship opening in Times Square, Chinese retail store, MINISO, has opened up a second Times Square location just one year later. The new Times Square pop-up can be found adjacent to the Disney store at 1540 Broadway, and just a few blocks from the flagship.
Visitors will enter into a pink paradise, likened to a “plush train carriage” where shoppers can purchase everything from toys to lifestyle products, or peruse the many MINISO IP collaborations with Sanrio, Snoopy, Winnie the Pooh, and Minions.
MINSIO has been praised for its affordable prices, while maintaining a standard of high-quality. Item designs also come from Japan, Korea, Sweden, Denmark, Singapore, Malaysia and China.
The retail chain first opened in the U.S. back in 2017. Since then, MINISO has recently passed its 100th store opening in America. NYC is already home to four of those stores: New Springville, Flushing, SoHo, Times Square flagship. In total, MINSIO currently has over 4,200 locations worldwide and can be found in more than 80 countries.
“We’re thrilled to be opening this new pop-up in Times Square,” said Tyrone Li, MINISO US General Manager. “Our flagship store here has been a massive hit, breaking numerous brand records and proving a popular addition for MINISO joy-seekers. This new pop-up is a playful and innovative reimagining of our ‘Joy Philosophy’ that highlights our outstanding range of IP products and is sure to add even more energy to this buzzing location.”
