MINISO’s gigantic ‘$10 N’ under’ flagship store had its grand opening on February 26th at 490 Broadway in SoHo, and the line was around the block!
Known for their “affordable high quality” homeware, electronics, stationary, beauty, and more, the retail store is catered to all that’s trending among Generation Z consumers.
At MINISO, “a better life has nothing to do with the price.” That’s why 95% of their products are retail for $10 or less!
MINISO will sell products categorized in their six distinctive zones including yummy, cute & fun, connected, essentials, fresh, and gorgeous.
The 7,974 square foot store was inspired by the New York City skyline from beautiful murals to Statue of Liberty plushies. Certain areas of the store have been dedicated as “interactive zones” that welcome visitors to try out the MINISO claw machine and take “selfie-worthy” shots all around the space.
The chain first opened in China back in 2013, and has since expanded across 80 countries and regions with more than 4,200 stores. It didn’t expand into the U.S. until 2017 where it entered the West Coast markets.
MINISO has collaborated with notable brands like Coca Cola, Marvel, Hello Kitty, and Sesame Street to create sought after crossover products you can’t find anywhere else.
At the NYC flagship location, shoppers can peruse over 100 kinds of plush toys, among other Disney, Marvel, and MINISO’s MINI Family collection products.
On the 22nd of every month MINISO shoppers can even catch the MINI Bus driving around 11 select countries for what the store has dedicated as ‘MINISO Plushie Day.’
