There’s no New York City cookie crawl without Levain Bakery, and just in time for spring there’s something new baking in the kitchen!
For quite some time Levain Bakery offered their gooey, decadent cookies in only four flavors until finally creating a Two Chip Chocolate Chip Cookie back in February 2020. Most recently they added a gluten free and vegan version of the Chocolate Chip Walnut cookie to their menu.
And now we have a brand new cookie flavor to add to the list!
Just in time for spring, Levain is now offering their brand new cookie flavor–Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip–and if you’re a caramel lover you’re going to want to listen up because it’s everything we’ve ever hoped and dreamed of.
The new flavor deliciously combines gooey caramel chips with freshly shredded coconut and melted dark chocolate–the result: a deliciously rich, buttery, and crispy-yet-chewy cookie that tastes just like spring.
The new Caramel Coconut Chocolate Chip will be available beginning Monday, April 3 at all Levain Bakery locations.
For those who can’t make it to one of their NYC locations, there’s no need to worry–you can order 4, 8, and 12 packs online, which will be in a limited-time festive spring floral packaging that make for the absolute perfect Mother’s Day gift (8-packs can also be bundled in Levain’s signature gifting tin).
Levain Bakery began in 1995 by Pam Weekes and Connie McDonald when their passion for food and working out collided. They opened a small bread shop and set out to bake the ultimate chocolate chip walnut cookie to give them energy while training for a triathlon–and the rest is pretty much history.
They decided to sell their cookie at their bakery and after flying off the shelves, they knew they were on to something.
It didn’t take long for Levain Bakery to become a NYC staple, and New Yorkers and tourists alike have been flocking to the West 74th Street bakery ever since. They’ve since expanded to six other NYC locations: Astoria, UES, Williamsburg, UWS, NoHo, and Harlem.
