🦇 The 2026 Grand Opening
The spooky flagship hosted its highly anticipated seasonal grand opening on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
With a newly introduced digital preregistration capped at 2,000 people, an estimated additional 1,000 fans showed up for general admission. Some die-hard Halloween lovers even traveled across the country for the event!
By 9 am, the line had snaked all the way around Harbor Square Mall despite the summer heat, according to The Inquirer.
Food vendors, music, face-painting, outdoor games, and freebies awaited those who braved the lines. Kids and adults alike turned up in everything from casual shorts and T-shirts to elaborate, blood-soaked character costumes.

This flagship location always debuts Spirit’s most advanced animatronics, and the 2026 lineup introduces major upgrades like “active response technology,” Bluetooth audio, and outdoor-rated builds.

- By Public Transit: You can take the NJ Transit bus (Route 319) from Port Authority to Atlantic City, then catch a local bus (like the 507 or 509) into Egg Harbor Township. Expect the trip to take around 3 to 3.5 hours total
- By Train: Amtrak and NJ Transit offer trains out of Penn Station to Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station, where you can transfer to the Atlantic City Rail Line to get to nearby Egg Harbor City
