When it comes to bacon, you want the best. It can’t be too thin or cooked until it’s dried to a crisp. It needs to be succulent, salty, and perhaps a little sweet. We’re telling you like you don’t already know. One of the city’s many gastro pubs took it upon themselves to become the unofficial expert on everything Bacon, and it seems to be working.
Fans of the worlds favorite breakfast food in NYC have probably already been to BarBacon, if you haven’t you should, we included them in our list of the best bacon dishes in the city. Making your way to the bar may now be even easier thanks to a planned expansion.

BarBacon has lived in Hell’s Kitchen, on 9th Avenue, since back in 2014. Back then it probably seemed like niche-madness to open an eatery whose gimmick was to use bacon in every dish. Well, who’s laughing now? The swine-centric eatery is headed to the East Village.
BarBacon has applied for a liquor license at 171 Avenue A between 10th and 11th streets, with a plan to use a backyard patio… bacon in the open air is maybe more of a summer thing, but nevertheless, it’s exciting… maybe not so much for the pigs.
