With the return of Central Park’s iconic Wollman Ice Rink and Bryant Park’s Winter Village Ice Rink, you know what that means–the holiday season is quickly approaching.
For the first time ever, Brooklyn Bridge Park will be home to its very own ice rink, Glide, at Emily Warren Roebling Plaza in the historic DUMBO neighborhood. Skaters will be able to slide across the ice right beneath the Brooklyn Bridge like never before!
Glide will officially open for the season on November 15th, 2023. It will be operational through March 1st, 2024.
The prime location will give skaters a mesmerizing view of the East River, Brooklyn Bridge and Lower Manhattan. Not to mention, skaters will be just a quick walk from other park favorites such as Jane’s Carousel, Empire Fulton Ferry, the River Café, Luke’s Lobster, and Van Leeuwen Ice Cream.
Tickets for Glide start as low as $15 for adults and $10 for youth (2-12). Peak hours will bring the cost up to $25 for adults and $12 for youth. However, New York adult residents will get a special rate for $9 on off-peak hours and $13.50 on peak hours.
Glide will add to NYC’s ever-growing list of incredible ice rinks returning for the winter, from the only admission-free rink in NYC at Bryant Park, to the iconic rink at Rockefeller Center.
Don’t have your own skates? No sweat! You can purchase skate rentals at Glide for $12. Each skate session is 50 minutes, with time slots at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1:15pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:45pm, 6:45pm, 7:55pm, and 8:55pm.
