Fall in NYC means crisp air, changing leaves, and the return of one of Brooklyn’s favorite cultural traditions.
Molière in the Park is officially back for its 2026 season, bringing world-class, free outdoor theater to the heart of Prospect Park.
For its milestone fifth production, the Brooklyn-based theater company is currently staging Molière’s daring and darkly comic masterpiece, ‘Don Juan.’
A dark comedy under the stars

If you are looking for an ambitious and thought-provoking night out, this production delivers a theatrical spectacle.
Directed by Drama Desk Award nominee Lucie Tiberghien and translated by Stephen Wadsworth, the play blends comedy, tragedy, and the supernatural.
The story follows a notoriously unchecked ego on a single, adventure-filled day. Don Juan, having abandoned his wife Elvira, travels with his loyal sidekick Sganarelle as they encounter a trail of betrayed lovers and enemies.

In this fast-paced staging, three actors transform into more than ten different characters. The production stars Keshav Moodliar as Don Juan and Kaliswa Brewster as Sganarelle, alongside Naomi Lorrain, Michelle Veintimilla, and Daniel Pearce.
Adding to the haunting atmosphere, Drama Desk-nominated cellist Johnathan Moore provides a live, original score throughout the show.
Celebrating Brooklyn storytelling this fall
Beyond the stage, Molière in the Park continues its mission of fostering empathy and building community through public art.
Looking ahead, the organization will host its annual OneLove OneTheater Gala on Monday, November 9, at Roulette in Downtown Brooklyn.
The event will honor two cultural heavyweights: two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lynn Nottage and Emmy-winning filmmaker Tony Gerber. Both will receive the Shoulder to Shoulder Award, recognizing artists who use storytelling to unite communities across differences.
