One of NYC’s most beloved free theater traditions is officially making its return. Molière in the Park just announced its 2026 season–and it’s packed with can’t-miss performances, pop-ups, and a full-scale outdoor production in Brooklyn.
From a spring double-bill at BRIC to a four-week run in Prospect Park, this year’s lineup blends bold reimaginings of classics with completely free access for audiences all summer long.
🎭 Molière in the Park
Founded on the belief that theater should be accessible to all, Molière in the Park brings professional productions to communities across Brooklyn, removing financial barriers while fostering connection, dialogue, and shared cultural experiences.
Each year, the company stages a major outdoor production at LeFrak Center at Lakeside, alongside readings, workshops, and special events throughout the borough. Past productions have included Tartuffe, The Misanthrope, The Miser, and The Imaginary Invalid.
Over the past four seasons, the series has seen 30,000+ ticket reservations and has staged 100 free performances.
