Get vaccinated at the ballpark and receive a free ticket!
As many unique and iconic spots across New York have become vaccination sites such as The Natural History Museum, more vaccines will be available at baseball stadiums.
Governor Cuomo announced in today’s press conference that fans can get vaccinated at the stadium when they attend a game and receive a free ticket. “Thanks to the generosity of the Yankees and the Mets, if you get a vaccine, they will give you a free ticket to the game,” said Governor Cuomo.
The @Mets, the @Yankees & @HealthNYGov are teaming up so that when you go to a game you can can get a vaccine right at the stadium.
When you do, you'll get a free ticket.

And beginning May 19, outdoor, large-scale venues such as baseball stadiums will increase in capacity to 33%. Ballparks are committed to “a gradual opening” working towards an eventual 100% capacity.
More news for baseball fans:
Starting May 19, full capacity seating at Yankee Stadium & Citi Field will be available for fully vaccinated people.
For unvaccinated the capacity will be 33% to comply with CDC social distancing rules.
Masks will be required for all fans.

Governor Cuomo shared that they plan to have ample supply of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at the stadiums so fans will only have to receive one dose.
Sections in the stadium will be designated for vaccinated and non-vaccinated fans, however everyone will still be required to wear a mask.
