Everything’s coming up roses.
And peonies, and daisies, and probably lots of other types of flowers! The streets of New York were taken over by absolutely stunning floral displays this week as a “love letter to New Yorkers,” thanks to Lewis Miller Design.
The floral design company is known for its “Flower Flash” displays that often turn up on different city streets as a bright spot in the day (like this one that took over a regular old NYC garbage can!).
“As New York City starts to reopen, LMD wanted to send out a love letter to New Yorkers,” they wrote on Instagram. “The Flower Flashes started as a personal experiment almost 4 years ago, and they quickly turned into a shared experience of millions. Thank you to all who have reached out to let us know that they are a bright light during these hard times. We thank you! For me, they serve as a reminder that human connection is needed and will come back again. The heartbeat of NYC is its people and we can’t wait be close to you all again.”
Here’s where you can find them:
- “I ❤︎ New York” in the Meatpacking District (Gansevoort Plaza)
- Giant pink floral heart at Barclays Center
- Giant yellow floral heart in Brooklyn (at the intersection of South Portland Avenue and Fulton Street)
- Giant purple heart in Soho (at the intersection of Spring and Hudson Streets)
