Outdoor movie season is starting to wind down, and there’s only a couple chances left to check the annual Bryant Park Movie Night off your bucket list!
The free movie series is one of the park’s longest-running traditions, and there’s two more chances to watch a film — including a newly announced, special bonus screening on August 18th!

Originally, the final showing of the season was supposed to be The Godfather on August 11th.
In addition now, the park will show an extra film, Interstellar on Monday, August 18th!
As always, the lawn will be opening at 5 pm for picnicking followed by an 8 pm showtime.
Attendance is of course free, and visitors are encouraged to arrive early, claim their patch of grass, and enjoy a variety of local food curated by Hester Street Fair, and beer, wine and summer spritzes from Stout NYC!
Remaining Bryant Park Movie Night schedule
- Monday, August 11th — The Godfather
- Monday, August 18th — Interstellar (just added)
Tips for securing a spot on the lawn
- Arrive early: Lawn opens at 5 pm but people line up well before then and “rush” the lawn at times to secure a spot.
- Coordinate your friend group: The lawn fills up almost instantly so make sure your whole group is together when you find a space. When it fills up, it’s hard to save space.
- Bring your essentials: Pack blankets, reusable water bottles, and snacks. Tall chairs, booze, and coolers are prohibited.
