Will the real Slim Shady Stan please stand up? For one day only, an immersive STANS pop-up is coming to NYC–featuring exclusive merchandise, surprise appearances, and an official Stan look alike contest. So bleach your hair and grab your crispest white tee!
Released in 2000, Eminem’s song Stan, about an obsessive, unstable, stalker fan, remains iconic to this day–so much so that the term stan was officially added to the Oxford English Dictionary in 2017.

In the song, the character pens a series of emotional letters to Eminem, repeating the line: “I’m just like you.” The upcoming STANS documentary, set to release on August 7th, 2025, explores the intense relationship between one of music’s most enigmatic figures and his larger-than-life public persona.
The film blends stylized reenactments, rare archival footage, personal interviews, and a never-before-seen interview with Eminem himself, offering a raw, unfiltered look at his career and the fanbase that’s grown alongside him.
To celebrate its release, Eminem and Complex are bringing fans an immersive STANS pop-up experience. Happening Wednesday, August 6th in SoHo, the curated event will give fans a deeper look into the mind of the rap legend with limited-edition vinyl, exclusive merch, surprise appearances, and more.
But that’s not all–there will also be an official Stan look alike contest where participants can show up in their best white tee and bleached hair for a chance to win a special prize. Even better? Devon Sawa, who played Stan in the original music video, will be there in person.

This Stan look alike contest joins a growing trend of celebrity look alike events across NYC, from basketball shorts-clad Adam Sandler doppelgängers to Pedro Pascal impersonators channeling the internet’s favorite “daddy.”
RSVP here to secure your spot–but heads up, RSVP does not guarantee entry, so arrive early!
