Last year, the creators of Williamsburg’s performance and art space Glasslands Gallery (which closed in 2014) opened the brand new “independent music venue and arts space,” Elsewhere.
When Elsewhere officially opened, the massive converted warehouse space included two performances areas, an art gallery, a cafe, and (at the time) plans for a rooftop area. Now, Elsewhere’s Rooftop is finally open!
The Rooftop opened over Memorial Day weekend—perfect timing for the hot and sunny weather we’ve been having. The 5,000-square-foot space offers great skyline views from the Williamsburg waterfront. While there will be ticketed music events on weekends, weekdays will feature no-cover parties with local DJs and a sunset happy hour which starts at 5 p.m. each day.
The rooftop space will offer an array of events over the course of the summer, from film screenings, to food pop-ups, lectures, and art happenings (along with concerts, of course). While there is currently no set drink menu, signature cocktails and frozen drinks will be offered.
