Now here’s a sweet story for your week!
This past weekend, a family of ducks was rescued on the Upper East Side around 160 E. 69th St. after wandering too far out of Central Park. [featured image source: Vlad Tchompalov on Unsplash]
According to the NYC knower of all things fowl, Manhattan Bird Alert, the family of Mallards — including a dozen ducklings and their mama — accidentally found their way past Lexington Avenue.
The local NYPD ended up picking up the ducklings and carrying them back to the Park, with the mom following along on foot (or by flight), listening to the sound of their quacks.

And what’s even cuter than the ducks waddling along the street? Enjoying a swim in the water once again!

A fellow New Yorker spotted the family again this morning (5/12), happy to be back in their natural habitat.
