With temperatures cooling down and unpredictable weather, NYC restaurants have gotten quite creative with ways to continue outdoor-only dining service.
And we’re loving these adorable “space bubbles” that have just popped up on the Upper West Side! French eatery Cafe du Soleil, located at 2723 Broadway (at 104th St.), just added these to their outdoor dining sidewalk set-up
For dinner on weekdays or brunch on weekends, as they say you can “come rain, sunshine, or snow…and we’ll block the wind too!”
Owners told local newspaper West Side Rag that customers have been loving them so far. At first they thought they would only be sought-after when it rained, but they said people were even requesting them when the weather was clear. Of course, they noted it will really only carry them through until November before it gets too cold, and then they’ll have to see what the city decides on dining rules.
Cafe du Soleil serves French classics plus Mediterranean-influenced fare, like white boudin, frog legs, rabbit, and fish stews that will have you feeling like you’ve been whisked off to Europe.
You can also catch brunch on the weekends with homemade quiches and omelettes, plus a mussels special on Mondays and Tuesdays. They are located at 2723 Broadway and are currently open Monday – Thursday 11am-10:00pm, Friday 11am-11:30pm, Saturday 9am-11:30pm, Sunday 9am-10pm.
And don’t forget, you can also dine in adorable glass greenhouses in FiDi!
