Looks like this NYC rooftop restaurant is taking a cue from Amsterdam with the most adorable greenhouses for outdoor dining!
Ampia Rooftop, which just opened to the public and comes from the owners of the popular Gnoccheria located directly below it, makes socially-distanced dining even more charming (and safe) with these plastic mini greenhouses now adorning their terrace.
Located in FiDi, the rooftop has five greenhouses for tables of two that diners can cuddle up in for light bites and drinks. Oh and another positive–a little rain won’t bother you! There are also contactless menus, which diners only have to scan a QR code on the their phones to peruse.
The entire outdoor space is a whopping 4,500 sq. feet, so they also have banquette seating and tables spaced six feet apart across the rest of the rooftop, and are only allowing up to 25% of capacity (about 65 people). Colorful flower gardens and Italian art and decor complete the outdoor oasis so you feel like you’re on a getaway in the middle of the city.
And the menu offers quite an escape too — enjoy light small plates and well as mouthwatering fresh seafood paninis (we’re eyeing the grilled octopus, pesto, tomato & burrata combo). There are also nine choices for hand-crafted cocktails that are all equally refreshing for summer — like the Lady Verde with Gin, St Germaine Liqueur, Fresh Lime Juice, Fresh Pineapple, Fresh Sage.
Ampia Rooftop is at 100 Broad Street is now open for lunch and dinner daily. You can make reservations on their website here, as well as view their menus.
