Two years after its release, we’ve all still been quietly refusing to let go of Brat Summer–like it’s a seasonal lease in NYC we simply keep renewing. The Y2K sunglasses are still in rotation, the neon green tank tops are still in heavy circulation, and honestly, nobody has emotionally moved on.
And just as we were trying–keyword: trying–to return to being normal, well-adjusted citizens of New York City, Charli xcx went ahead and announced a tour.
To promote her upcoming seventh studio album, Music, Fashion, Film, Charli is hitting the road this fall, promising exactly what NYC does best: sweat, noise, glitter, and entire arenas of people screaming every lyric like it’s a personal matter of survival.
If there’s one thing this city doesn’t need, it’s another reason to stay out until 2 am on a weeknight–but Charli just gave us one anyway. And honestly? No notes.

🗓️ ‘Music, Fashion, Film’ Release Date
Music, Fashion, Film drops July 24 and includes 11 tracks clocking in at just over 30 minutes. It’s available for pre-order now.
Angels who’ve already heard “Rock Music” and “SS26” will notice Charli leaning into a more guitar-forward direction, a noticeable shift from the electro-pop pulse of Brat that’s been dominating the last two summers. Charli told British Vogue in April:
For me, it’s fun to flip the form. We know there’s gonna be people who are bothered by it, but that’s fine.
The album artwork–featuring John Cale, Marc Jacobs, and Martin Scorsese–signals the three-part concept behind the project. And with its black-and-white palette, it looks like the lime-green Brat era may finally be giving way to something a little darker…or at least louder in a different direction.
