This favorite summer activity normally runs from May until the end of August, however, Bryant Park just announced that they are extending their classes into the month of September by popular demand.
These hour-long classes focus on healing and stress reduction. The first class of the season started back on May 25th this year. And now, instead of ending on August 31st, three bonus class dates haven been added to the program.
The new sessions will take place from 5:30pm to 6:30pm on:
- Monday, September 12
- Monday, September 19
- Tuesday, September 27
Classes happen on the Upper Terrace and on the Lawn.
Classes are entirely free and open to the public, with registration required.
Unlike in years past when mats were provided, you will have to bring your own this year. Face masks are not required (nor is proof of COVID-19 vaccination), though it is noted that “Bryant Park will continue to monitor and follow updated New York City and New York State COVID-19 guidelines throughout the summer as necessary.”
The classes are designed for yogis of all levels, led by expert instructors like beloved NYC studio owner Bethany Lyons and Bryant Park favorite Sara Clark.
This year, they even livestreamed the classes on the Bryant Park Instagram page @bryantparknyc!
As you can probably tell from the picture above (and from attending previous years, course), these classes fill up quickly! So be sure to reserve a spot in advance here.
Bryant Park Yoga partners Miraval Berkshires Resort & Spa, Rothman Orthopaedic and Lifeway support the series.
