Whether you’re a yogi or someone more inclined to say “Namast-ay at home,” Bryant Park’s amazing free yoga classes are worth attending. These hour-long classes focus on healing and stress reduction with the first class of the season beginning on May 24 this year.
The classes are designed for yogis of all levels, and you don’t even need to bring a mat! 1,200 mats will be donated to the class by the yoga, fitness, and wellness brand Gaiam and the event itself will be sponsored this year by KeVita, a manufacturer of fermented probiotic and kombucha beverages.
Classes will take place on Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. on the Upper Terrace, and on Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on the Lawn. As you can probably tell from the picture above (and from attending previous years, course), these classes fill up quickly! So even though they take walk-ins you’ll probably want to reserve a mat in advance here.
