Al fresco season has arrived, and there’s no better way to celebrate than Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies With a View — and all of the free outdoor movies in NYC, for that matter.
The free activity, famous for its A-list films past and present and skyline panoramas, is ringing in its 25th year with an exciting theme, “Women In Hollywood,” so make sure your picnic blankets are at the ready for the screenings.
Eric Landau, president of Brooklyn Bridge Park said in a statement, “We reimagined this waterfront for the public and today we’re proud to welcome millions of visitors to make memories, enjoy the arts, and experience summer like nowhere else in the city.”
Ready to enjoy the awesome lineup? We are, too.

Brooklyn Bridge Park: Movies with a View 2025
As in years past, the movie screenings will return this summer on Thursday evenings at Pier 1, Harbor View Lawn. The area opens at 6pm on a first-come, first-serve basis and the movie kicks off at sunset. Considering nearly 700,000 New Yorkers have enjoyed this program since its inception, you can rest assured it’s a must for your summer bucket list.
Following along with the theme, “Women in Hollywood,” the schedule is as follows:
- July 10th: Bottoms
- July 17th: Alien
- July 24th: Waitress
- July 31st: The Matrix
- August 7th: The Wizard of Oz
- August 14th: Trainwreck
- August 21st: Hidden Figures
- August 28th: Public Choice: Julie & Julia, Marie Antoinette, or Pretty in Pink
A few housekeeping notes before heading to the park: you’re able to bring your own food but no alcoholic beverages. However, once in the park, you’ll be able to purchase water, soda, and alcoholic drinks and small bites from concession stands. No chairs are permitted, so make sure you fetch your blanket out of the closet.
