With summer officially here, you may be starting to think about your annual trip to the Hamptons! A weekend there is the perfect time to unwind, and there’s so much to do…including filling your tummy with as many delicious lobster rolls as possible and of course, grabbing a drink (or two) in the evening. Have a look through our favorite bars in the Hamptons to bookmark if you’re down the shore this summer.
1. The Surf Lodge, Montauk
With great cocktails, live music, and stunning views of Fort Pond, there’s no place like The Surf Lodge. It’s located in Montauk and has become one of the hottest places to drink on the Island. Their music lineup is what’s shot them up into the spotlight in recent years, welcoming some of the biggest names in electronic music like Diplo, FISHER, and many more. Of course, their coastal cuisine and nautical design elements are very on brand too. See the full menu and plan your visit here!
Where: 183 Edgemere St, Montauk, NY
2. Stephen Talkhouse, Amagansett
If your ideal night out is accompanied by some live music, then this is the place to be in the Hamptons. Watch some up and coming artists and the occasional bigger names perform in an intimate setting, so you can be right in front of the magic. Great drinks, lively crowds and the typical dive bar ambience that you know and love is always a good time! Check out Stephen Talkhouse’s full performance schedule here!

3. Ruschmeyer’s, Montauk
If you’re looking for a weekend filled with good times from morning till night, then this is the place to go! The best way to describe Ruschmeyer’s is like a camp-style bar and resort for adults. Their Placēbö Restaurant is a Latin/American crossover where you can sip on curated cocktails that lead beautifully into their courtyard filled with fire pits and lawn games. 4. 75 Main, Southampton
Dubbed the “perfect Hamptons” hangout, 75 Main is a gorgeous bar and restaurant where you truly feel on “island time.” This spot has been around for nearly 15 years with award-winning chef Mark Militello leading the charge along the way. Pop in to admire the chic plants and bamboo interior or stay late and dance on the weekends with an in-house DJ. See the full menu and plan your visit here!

5. Rosie’s, Amagansett
This healthy-ish restaurant and bar leans heavily into their ingredients and organic produce that comes from the nearby Bhumi Farms. Their cocktails even incorporate them too like the “Beet Down” (vodka, beet & carrot shrub, lime, club soda) and “Bourbon Bloom” (bourbon, lemon, ginger, local honey, sage). Of course their actual bar space is stunning too…plastered in ocean blue and lined with nautical plants. The food (both brunch and dinner) is pretty good too if you need something to fill your belly. Where: 195 Main St, Amagansett, NY
6. Rowdy Hall, Amagansett
For classic pub vibes, head to Rowdy Hall where it does in fact…get rowdy. It takes the appeal of a classic English pub with a Hamptons vibe…offering a menu full of classic beers, wines, and house cocktails to pick from. It’s a great spot for those in their late 20s/early 30s to hangout and grab a pint. Check out their full menu and plan a visit here!
Where: 177 Main St, Amagansett, NY
7. Duryea’s, Montauk
We highly recommend reserving a table for sunset drinks at Duryea’s Montauk. Their waterfront location is breathtaking, and it pairs wonderfully with their seafood-forward food and drink. Their lobster cobb salad is literally iconic in its own right…but if you add some seafood towers, nautical cocktails and their outdoor patio, there’s not much more you could ask for. Where: 65 Tuthill Rd, Montauk, NY
8. Le Bilboquet, Sag Harbor
Think of Le Bilboquet as “a home away from home.” It sits on a marina in Sag Harbor and boasts some of the most creative cocktails and seafood in the area. Sure you’ll be able to chow down on the menu highlights like Cajun chicken and tuna tartare inspired by their upper East Side menu, but the real gold mine here is the waterfront wines and fresh spritzes.
