McDonald’s is officially giving fast food the fine-dining treatment.
The chain is hosting its first-ever chef’s table experience. The exclusive culinary event hits New York City on October 29, 2026.
It is called Inside the Golden Arches.
This free, reservation-only tasting is led by Tristen Epps-Long. He recently won Top Chef Season 22. He also brings a very fitting perspective to the kitchen.
Before building his culinary career and winning on Bravo, he worked behind a McDonald’s counter as a crew member.
An exclusive fast food tasting menu
Guests will get an up-close look at the techniques behind iconic menu items. The tasting highlights the Quarter Pounder with Cheese, the Egg McMuffin, Chicken McNuggets, and World Famous Fries.
Epps-Long will guide diners through the entire cooking process. You will see exactly how the 100-percent fresh, never-frozen beef hits the grill.
You can also finally examine how they make that perfectly round egg without holding up the drive-thru line.
“McDonald’s was where I got my start, and the experience helped shape the way I think about food and hospitality,” Epps-Long shared. He noted the event gives fans a rare opportunity to see the deep care behind the menu.

Reservations and a new fall deal
There is one major catch for anyone hoping to snag a seat. The event is now fully booked. Reservations opened on October 22 and vanished quickly.
Fortunately, you can still celebrate with a new nationwide discount. Starting November 2, participating McDonald’s locations are rolling out an $8 meal deal.
It includes a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, medium fries, and a drink. Prices may vary by location, and the offer is not valid for delivery.
