1. Praia Pebble
A Pebble Beach não é apenas um pequeno oásis à beira-mar, mas também é um ótimo lugar para ter uma vista deslumbrante do horizonte de Manhattan e da Ponte do Brooklyn! Embora não seja possível nadar nesse local panorâmico, você pode sentar-se em suas arquibancadas de pedra e admirar a vista, ou parar e tirar fotos enquanto explora o resto do bairro DUMBO. Você pode encontrar a Pebble Beach na orla marítima ao longo da Main Street e da Plymouth Street no Brooklyn!

2. Enseada Swindler
Essa praia, localizada ao longo do Rio Harlem, é uma das poucas praias de Manhattan e tem uma história e tanto! O local costumava ser um antigo depósito de lixo ilegal e, desde então, vem sendo melhorado pelo New York Restoration Project há mais de 20 anos! O que antes abrigava toneladas de estilhaços, detritos e lixo, agora se orgulha de ter uma pequena praia aconchegante e um parque correspondente com espaço verde, jardins e muito mais!

3. Praia de Cedar Grove
A Cedar Grove Beach, em Staten Island, já está aberta há algum tempo, mas como era uma colônia de bangalôs de praia, só foi aberta ao público há alguns anos! Essa praia também é totalmente nadável, com salva-vidas, estações de conforto e barracas de concessão! Pegue seus trajes de banho e vá para essa praia tranquila quando precisar de uma escapadinha… e não se esqueça de explorar a natureza deslumbrante do Great Kills Park também!

4. Plumb Beach
A Plumb Beach está localizada ao longo da costa norte de Rockaway Inlet, no Brooklyn. Essa joia escondida oferece um retiro pacífico com sua costa tranquila ao longo da Jamaica Bay! Os visitantes podem desfrutar de observação de pássaros, piqueniques, windsurfe, kiteboarding e até mesmo um lançamento de caiaque da praia! Fique de olho também nos caranguejos-ferradura, pois a praia é muito povoada por essas pequenas criaturas!

5. Grand Ferry Park
O Grand Ferry Park já foi um ponto de desembarque de balsas, que transportavam produtos agrícolas e passageiros pelo East River até Manhattan, por volta do século XIX. Essa pequena praia (que na verdade tem areia) é perfeita para ficar em um banco ou sentar-se em uma de suas grandes pedras e observar as pequenas ondas.

6. Hurricane Point
O Hurricane Point fica à beira do East River State Park, perto de Williamsburg, no Brooklyn, bem próximo ao Smorgasburg! Mesmo que você tenha que escalar algumas pedras para chegar à costa, sugerimos que explore a praia escondida depois de sua próxima visita ao mercado… e talvez até mesmo passear pela costa até o Transmitter Park ou o Bushwick Inlet Park.

7. Louis Valentino, Jr. Park and Pier
Você pode encontrar esse local escondido nas margens de Red Hook, no Brooklyn, onde as vistas da Estátua da Liberdade, da Governor’s Island, do porto de Nova York, da Staten Island e do horizonte de Manhattan são incomparáveis! A água sobre a qual se tem vista é o Canal Buttermilk, que abriga um lindo píer e um parque parecido com uma praia. 8. Península de Gansevoort
A primeira praia pública de Manhattan é um de nossos segredos mais bem guardados, e sua localização no Rio Hudson a torna perfeita para vistas da orla! A pequena praia de areia no West Side oferece alguns assentos e mesas que você pode conferir a qualquer momento. Além disso, a areia de verdade faz com que você queira tirar as sandálias e ficar um pouco.
