Tucked inside the Refinery Hotel, the reimagined lounge features a dedicated performance stage with optimized acoustics so every single seat connects to the show.
New York City’s live music scene got a massive upgrade this spring. Winnie’s Jazz Club has cemented its place as a premier destination for live jazz.
Inside the Refinery Hotel in the Garment District, this intimate speakeasy-style lounge blends flapper-era romance with modern New York edge.
A stunning speakeasy upgrade
The gorgeous interior transformation was led by Garrett Singer Architecture + Design. The room now centers around a dedicated performance stage with enhanced acoustics and optimized sightlines. This means every single seat in the house feels connected to the show.

You can sink into expanded banquettes wrapped in deep amber and dark emerald plush velvets. The space is also filled with subtle nods to the building’s former life as a 1912 hat factory.
Expect to see richly patterned Mokum wallpaper, sepia-toned peacock designs, and bold 1970s-inspired carpeting.
Elevated bites and playful cocktails

The food and drink menus perfectly match the incredible quality of the music. IGC Culinary Director Barry Tonks created a refreshed dining menu featuring small plates like Portobello Croquettes, Tuna Crispy Rice, and artisan charcuterie. If you want a full dinner, you can order the 16oz Dry Aged Cowboy Steak or the brand new Winnie’s Burger.

Beverage Director Nancy Santiago’s cocktail program is heavily presentation-driven. Standouts include The Colony Arcade, which is a green-tea infused vodka drink served right in a teacup. You also have to try The Graceland, a bourbon cocktail garnished with a dehydrated banana that is laser-engraved with Elvis’s portrait.
How to visit
Named in tribute to Winifred T. McDonald’s iconic 1920s Garment District café, the club sits just steps from Times Square. It is the perfect hidden gem for pre- or post-Broadway drinks.
