Breakfast, anyone?
The Win Son Bakery Manhattan location is officially up and running in the East Village, serving the same Taiwanese-American classics that catapulted its Brooklyn outpost into viral territory. From millet mochi donuts and a cup of xiao guai guai (a spin on the classic cortado that translates to “good boy” in Mandarin) to chocolate bolo bao and the fan-favorite scallion pancake breakfast sammies and pork fan tuan, the offerings draw lengthy lines that are well worth the wait.
If you forgot to have a cup of yogurt or oats before leaving your apartment: good. After a sneak peek inside Win Son, you wouldn’t want to waste your time with the likes of those breakfast options, anyway.

The bakery has only just opened as of March 19th, 2025, but it’s already drawing plenty of attention, particularly for the early risers among us.
“You’re right by my kid’s school. Pickup is going to be amazing,” one Instagram user wrote under the business’ latest post. Another chimed in simply with, “Fantastic news!!!”
If long waits and viral fame are anything to go by, the patrons won’t just be lining up for early-morning bites. The business’ dinner options — shrimp milk buns, pan-griddled pork buns, fried chicken, and double smash cheeseburgers — are bound to become locals’ go-to’s, just like their early-morning orders.
If you need us, we’ll be waiting patiently for a BEC scallion pancake. Up for splitting a date cake?
