There are a few hidden waterfalls in NYC, but if you want to see a large one you’ll have to head to upstate New York!
And while you’re up there, you might as well stay over. At this Airbnb between Margaretville and Roxbury, NY, 150 miles (about a three-hour drive) from NYC, you’ll even have one right in your own backyard (literally).
This 1960’s A-frame house was built right over a rolling mountain stream and has a stunning view of a completely private waterfall off the back deck.
If that (somehow) wasn’t enough to sell you on the house, there’s also two private swimming holes, a pool table room, and a spiral staircase.
Besides that there are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a Weber charcoal grill, full kitchen with eating area and a living room that has a TV with basic cable, plus WiFi throughout the house.
It clocks in at $275 per night, for a maximum of six guests (but no pets allowed). Check it out here.
