On Friday night, March 9, the 34th Street station transformed into a full on dance party after Swedish singer Robyn’s sold out concert at Madison Square Garden.
Fans leaving Robyn’s North American tour concert kept the music going into Penn Station as a sea of people waiting for the A/C/E trains began to sing, dance, and (thanfully) record the impromptu sing-a-long. The concert was great, but the platform afterparty stole the show. After an outpooring of videos capturing this magical moment were posted to Instagram, Robyn took to her account to share love for her New York fans writing, “I’m overwhelmed. Someone just posted this video and I can’t believe the love in this subway station. Thank you New York”
In a later post, the musician wrote, “Feeling the love NYC.” Some songs that were sung on the platform include “Dancing On My Own,” “Hang With Me,” and “Show Me Love.”
