Hot on the heels of the pizza box weed pipe comes the kind of invention we imagine you’d have to be high to come up with.
Or maybe you just really love pizza, like this bright New Yorker who decided that serving pizza in a cardboard box all these years had been a glaring missed opportunity when you could easily make one out of bread and cheese.
Sean Berthiaume, owner of Vinnie’s Pizzeria in Williamsburg, Brooklyn came up with the idea when he saw how wasteful people were being with the standard cardboard box.
He told WABC: “It gave me inspiration to try to make something where you can eat the box as well. It kind of started as a joke, and then it just kind of blossomed.”
Vinnie’s is a pioneer in cutting-edge pizza. Last year, the restaurant launched the Mini Vinnie, a pizza with mini slices of pizza on top.
The new pizza box pizza – described by the restaurant as “totally PIEodegradable” (this article writes itself) – costs $40 and can apparently be delivered.
