The annual Veterans Day Parade will return to NYC on November 11th. The parade consists of more than 20,000 people marching, including more than 280 marching units.
New Yorkers are encouraged to observe the parade and the 25 floats and 150+ vehicles that will travel up Fifth Avenue in commemoration.

What is the Veterans Day Parade?
The Veterans Day Parade honors and celebrates America’s veterans and their contributions to the country. The NYC parade originated in 1919 thanks to the United War Veterans Council (UWVC). This year’s parade is celebrating its 105th anniversary and is being hosted by the United War Veterans Council!
When is the Parade taking place in 2024?
The Veterans Day Parade takes place every year on November 11th.
What time is the Parade?
The parade will kick off around 12:30 pm and come to an end by 3 pm. There will be a wreath procession at the Eternal Light Memorial before the parade starts.
What is the Parade route?
The parade marches up 5th Avenue from 26th Street to 47th Street.
Who is the Grand Marshal this year?
This year’s Grand Marshal is retired Marine Sgt. Dakota Meyer, who was the first recipient of the Marine Corps Medal of Honor for his work in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Where can I watch the Veterans Day Parade?
New Yorkers can of course watch the parade in person along Fifth Avenue, but if you can’t make it, it will also be live broadcasted on TV and online via WABC and on other platforms.
