Summertime in NYC is all about spending time outdoors, and all the city’s night markets make it easy to do so. But considering NYC is the third most vegan-friendly city in the world, it definitely came as a surprise to us that there was no vegan night market to cater to the herbivores.
Thankfully, this is changing!
As of Tuesday, June 6, New York City will officially have its own Vegan Night Market, and it’s completely free to attend!
The market comes from the producers of Uptown, Brooklyn, and Bronx Night Market, so we just know it’s going to be good. The market will take over Wollman Rink in Central Park every Tuesday night, featuring the city’s top vegan vendors, live music, and a rotating selection of food and product tastings.
The popularity of the vegan diet has been on an uphill climb for quite some time now. And as more and more people demand plant-based options, we’re glad to see the city is responding.
Vegan Night Market will feature 25+ micro-businesses offering mouthwatering food and drink options. Businesses include:
- The GingerShot Man
- Mao’s Bao
- Secret Vegan Kitchen
- Pinche Vegana NYC
- Lillie Handmade Aromatherapy Products
- Healthy As A Motha
- The Waffle Chic
- Nadas Colombian Rainbow Empanadas
- Cuzins Duzin
- Sip & Savor BX
“We’re thrilled to bring the Vegan Night market to Central Park in NYC. Our goal is to create a space where people can explore and enjoy plant-based cuisine from some of the city’s top vendors while promoting sustainable and ethical food choices,” stated Marco Shalma, founder of MHG Events.
Whether you’re a seasoned vegan or just curious about the lifestyle, there’s something for everyone at the market! Learn more on their website.
