NYC is full of some pretty amazing rooftop bars, but this one takes the cake, or, in this case, the (big) apple.
UNLISTED officially opens tomorrow, July 26, on the 11th floor of the newly re-launched UNTITLED Hotel at 3 Freeman Alley in the Lower East Side, taking over a 2,300 square-foot indoor/outdoor space that offers up stunning 360-degree views of the NYC skyline from every seat.
The night begins with a trip down a small alleyway that’s home to endless colorful graffiti and street art, and while this art is carried through UNLISTED by way of three custom murals by renowned curators Stikki Peaches, Taroe, and Clown Soldier, the bar itself strays more towards the earth-tone side, with velvet seating in shades like mustard and green along with disco balls throughout the space.
But curated cocktails and elevated bar snacks are the star of the show here and pay homage to iconic NYC dishes and institutions.
The Rosenwach, for example, combines chamomile, honey, and pisco and is served in a 3D-printed water tower vessel–a nod to the iconic Long Island City water tank.
The Red Handed, made with lemon verbena, apple, and Irish whiskey, is served in a custom spray paint can celebrating the neighborhood’s street art and creators.
To eat there’s, of course, an elevated take on the classic NYC dirty water dog, made with a wagyu glizzy served in a fresh brioche bun topped with mango relish, sweet and savory bar nuts served in a mini NYC trash can, and Chinatown’s signature General Tso’s Chicken reimagined into a pâté and decorated with green onions atop sesame cornbread.
The new hot spot celebrates the intersection of LES nostalgia, street art, and music paired with modern, genre-defining cocktail culture, and they officially open tomorrow! Reservations can be made here.
