Your Uber Is About To Get An Upgrade- Mini Vending Machines Are Coming To A Car Near You
The cure for your drunk ride home has arrived.

A partnership between the ride sharing app, Uber and the start-up Cargo, will be bringing you small snacks for your ride home- for a price. Currently the mini-machines are available in Uber cities such as Los Angeles and San Francisco and are set to roll out to New York in the near future. Cargo provides and stocks the mini-vending machines to Uber drivers free of charge and drivers earn $1 for each transaction along with 20 percent of the item’s cost.

In a statement from Keith Hensley, Uber’s business development lead he explained, “you never quite know what you’ll need when you’re on the move. An energy boost on your way to the big meeting, a phone charger when you’re down to 7%, or a much-needed snack at the end of the night—your time in an Uber is sometimes the only chance you have to refuel and recharge.”

Will a late night Uber snack live up to a 99 cent corner slice? Probably not, but it’s worth it in an emergency.
