First there was a giant clock in Union Square counting down the days until climate disaster, now Queens has its own clock counting down until Trump leaves office.
This enormous timepiece — located in front of Sound River Studios at 4-40 44th Dr., right on the East River waterfront in LIC — was actually built back 2017. Of course, it has even more significance now as President Trump’s opponent, Joe Biden, has been elected as the 46th President of the U.S.
The piece was created by artists Matthew Barney, Brandon Stosuy and others, according to LIC Post, who work in the building.
The clock always counted down the days to the end of Trump’s first presidential term, but with him officially not being reelected, it will be able to reach zero in a little over two months.
we just might get to unplug this thing after all. https://t.co/MuT58Ktj01
