Love music? Love history? This beautiful opera experience could be what’s missing from your week. Bring a little high culture into your life with Italy’s Cagliari Opera show happening this October.
Get ready to travel back in time to 1826 and experience one of history’s most iconic performances, recreated. The Friends of the Erben Organ, the Basilica of Saint Patrick’s Old Cathedral, and the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari are bringing a unique concert to the 200-year old St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral.
On October 16 at 7:30 pm, an opera choir and instrumental ensemble will be recreating the exact performance of what apparently was a 1826 Benefit Concert for an Italian orphanage. The concert itself highlights sacred music of the time from well known composers in a somber yet uplifting spectacle.
So, book your reservation and listen to the harmony and melodies of history!
