Tom Felton, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’s newest cast member, is bringing some OG magic to the stage.
The 37-year-old actor is known for playing Harry’s Slytherin nemesis in the film series, but now he’s reprising his role as Draco Malfoy on Broadway — the first original film cast member to hit the stage.
“Its very much a pinch-me kind of situation,” he revealed on the TODAY Show. “I keep thinking I’m dreaming. I let go of that character 16 years ago and now I’m getting a chance to step back in his shoes — as a father this time, in a new story. I get to meet Draco as an adult, which is very exciting.”
Needless to say, plenty of Harry Potter fans are more eager than ever to venture over to The Great White Way.

Potterheads will have to wait a bit before Felton takes the stage this fall. He’ll be starring in a limited run from November 11th, 2025 to March 22nd, 2026. However, tickets will go on sale this month on June 12th at 11am ET. The truly devoted wizards can sign up for first access to tickets that unlocks entry to a presale starting two days earlier on June 10 at 11 a.m. ET.
Though the actor admitted he cried when he put on his blonde wig once again, he admits that this journey will be quite different.
“The play is such an independent story from the Potter films that I grew up with,” he said. “We start 19 years later … now we’re no longer children. We actually are the parents.”
He continued, “So as much as it is reprising an old role for me, it’s very much treading into new, unfamiliar territory. I know him quite well as a kid. I don’t know him that well as an adult. So that’s the that’s the exciting challenge ahead for me.”
