You may be familiar with the book, or the wildly popular movie, but now’s your chance to experience Trainspotting Live!
If you weren’t familiar with it already, Trainspotting is the story of Mark Renton and his friends, living through the Edinburgh heroin scene of the 1980’s. Harry Gibson’s original stage adaptation, which was written before it became the famous blockbuster, was instantly successful and controversial, and won the Sunday Times Award for Best New Play.
For this 21st anniversary production, the Scottish cast has created a snappy and vibrant affirmation of the power of this play. The five star reviews are glowing, some even boasting that the show was “horrific, disgusting, highly visceral and probably a downright offensive show – but that’s what makes it so damn good.”
This rendition of Trainspotting takes place in an immersive venue in the heart of the Times Square Theater District. Experience the show in this recreation of a 1980’s heroin den with graffiti, soiled furniture and a toilet that is seriously out of order.
