NYC is notorious for its many eclectic speakeasies, some tucked behind an ice cream carton door, or disguised behind an actual bodega. But this underground hideaway takes you back more than a century in a pre-war cellar located beneath a patisserie on 23rd Street.
Thyme Bar’s space once belonged to a gambling den and speakeasy in the 1920s. It has since been reinvented with intimate dining and a dimly-lit, ornate ambiance.
Helmed by beverage director, Jeremy Le Blanche, Thyme Bar offers a revolutionary take on mixology in both taste and presentation. With a mission for sustainability, ingredients are chosen wisely, serving light fare and specialty drinks.
Guests can expect show-stopping creations both a la carte or with their exciting tasting menu including both “Floriography” and “Le Jardin” cocktails that are more than insta-worthy! The tasting menu consists of five courses for $85: An Amouse-bouche, 1 Le Jardin Cocktail, 1 Food Item, 1 Floriography Cocktail, 1 Dessert.
Just look at some of these cocktails!
And for such elegant libations, don’t forget to pair them with some delightful bites like their Berkshire Pork Belly Sliders and Sourdough Toast.
And satisfy your sweet tooth with one of their signature cakes like their Strawberry Champagne or Blood Orange & Earl Grey Chocolate Cake Mousse.
There’s no better thyme than now to check it out!
