The FDNY shared the most adorable holiday story that will definitely make your day…
Early last month, the FDNY got a call that a cat was stuck in a car. When the team arrived at the scene, they saw that the little kitten was stuck under the hood of the car, and had a high fever and was lethargic. Luckily, the fire fighters were able to rescue him, and Small Door Vet took him in to get him healthy.
Firefighter Daniel Wiwczar from Ladder 2 in Midtown East said he knew right away when he pulled the kitten out that he wanted to adopt him, according to their Instagram post. After the kitty, named Franklin, was all healthy and better, Wiwczar came back to take him home.
“He’s doing great now and is getting along with my two dogs” Wiwczar said. “Franklin is just having fun, running around, and enjoying being a kitten.”
Aw! Our hearts!
