Winter is approaching, and though it’s one of the most magical times of the year, there are of course some down sides to the colder, darker days of the season. Therefore, we decided to survey some real New Yorkers to hear what they think the worst things are about NYC winters. With 500+ comments, here’s what they most commonly had to say:
1. The commute
2. The unbearable heat inside an apartment
3. Shoveling snow
4. Puddle olympics
5. Black ice
6. Parking
8. The slush
9. Waiting for the bus
10. Subway delays
11. Wind tunnels between buildings
12. The air hurting your face
13. Garbage under the snow
14. Canceled flights (did you know NYC has the second highest percentage of flights being delayed in the country during the holidays?)
15. It lasts too long
