Anyone who’s at a fork in the road can most likely relate to the ever-present, looming question: “what comes next?” Even though there’s no right or wrong path, there’s one thing that’s become increasingly more important for securing a high paying job—furthering your education.
Although everyone can agree that having a degree pays, simply getting your undergrad just doesn’t cut it the same way it used to. The current job market is oversaturated with eager students, fresh out of university, ready to start their careers. A four-year degree will definitely help you land an entry-level job, but the likelihood of anything more than that is unfortunately, quite low. Where do you get the real life experience, skills, and qualifications that will truly help you stand out from your competition? The answer is: an MBA or graduate school program.
If you’re reading this and thinking that the prospect of even more school seems exhausting, just keep in mind that it’s a crucial investment for your future that you’ll be thankful for later. At the end of the day, it’s always good to keep your options open, which is why the best place to start is at the World’s Largest MBA Tour or the largest Grad School Fair and Expo, both of which are coming to NYC on January 25th!
Both events (which are completely free, by the way) will offer advice from industry experts while also giving people the opportunity to network with representatives and alumni from some of the best schools out there. The MBA Tour will feature over 40 top business schools from around the world including Cornell, UCLA Anderson, LBS, Imperial, Boston U, and Baruch among others. As for the Grad School Fair and Expo, there will be over 40 top grad schools in attendance including Columbia SIPA, NYU – Tandon, Imperial College, NYIT, U of Maryland, and Bocconi U. While there will be some overlap in schools for both the MBA and grad school expos, one is primarily focused on helping people get their MBA degrees while the other is open to various master’s and PhD programs.
The best part is that not only is entrance completely FREE, but attendees will also receive: a professional LinkedIn headshot, resume review, access to up to $7M in scholarships, and so much more!
