Some say it with flowers, others with romantic platitudes carefully scrawled on a hallmark card… others say it with cockroaches.
We’re heading towards Valentines Day, and in keeping with their 7 year tradition, The Bronx Zoo have reopened their popular Name-a-Roach program.
What will a $10 donation get you? Well, you be able to name a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach after a loved one, or, as in many years past, an ex. Along with the naming rights the donation will also get you a colorful certificate to present to your the cockroaches namesake.
There is something a little different this year, for a $35 donation you will also receive a stuffed Madagascar hissing cockroach (yeah… sounds terrifying) or a box of chocolates. Also, for a hefty $50 will take home the certificate, plush bug AND the box of chocolates.
Really we just want to see the numbers of roaches that get named “Donald.”
