Brooklyn’s industrial waterfront is getting a major cultural upgrade.
The visionary creative team behind Gowanus’ popular Public Records is bringing a brand-new 1,000-capacity live music and arts venue to the Sunset Park coastline.
Taking over a massive ground-floor warehouse at the historic MADE Bush Terminal, the highly anticipated project is officially slated to open in late 2026.
Re-imagining a historic Brooklyn pier
The new venture, spearheaded by the creative studio Public Service, will take over 10,000 square feet inside Building A of the sprawling campus.
Fans of the team’s flagship Gowanus location can expect the same heavily curated programming, but on a much grander scale.
The cavernous new space boasts triple-height ceilings and sweeping, panoramic views of the New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty, creating an undeniable cultural buzz that will have local nightlife enthusiasts counting down the days until its debut.
Once completed, the state-of-the-art venue will host everything from live musical performances and large-scale art exhibitions to a variety of public and private events.
To bring the ambitious vision to life, the team is collaborating with project architects nArchitects, engineering firm ARUP, and lighting designer Ben Kreukniet.
What is the MADE Bush Terminal?
Short for Manufacturers, Artisans, Designers, and Entrepreneurs, the MADE Bush Terminal is a sprawling 20-acre waterfront campus.
Under a partnership with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), the historic 20th-century pier complex is being transformed into a bustling creative and manufacturing hub. The plan complements the city’s broader “Harbor of the Future” initiative, investing in the waterfront while supporting local innovation.
When fully completed, the campus will feature:
- 140,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space
- 30,000 square feet of cultural and public programming
- A major 500,000-square-foot film and TV production facility from Steiner Studios
- New food and beverage vendors
- A brand-new ferry landing for easier transit access

A newly renovated, 5-acre waterfront esplanade at the MADE Bush Terminal is currently open to the public.
