The streets of New York can often feel cold and unforgiving. Maybe that’s why Tom Bob has made it his mission to take everyday street objects and turn them into whimsical cartoonish creations.
The around every corner of the colorful hustle and bustle of NYC is a grim reminder of the urban jungle. Whether it be traffic bollards, electrical conduits or gas pipes, these utilitarian objects cut through the beauty of the NYC’s architecture like a pimple on the face of the city. One American artist is giving them a touch of cartoon magic and the results are wonderful.
American street artist, Tom Bob, is running rampant on the streets of New York, taking pragmatic gray street fodder and turning them into cartoons.
Tom creates colorful and fun pieces of street art that interact with their surroundings. Turning frowns upside down by adding a splash of color and imagination to some of the forgotten corners of the city.
