Step Inside Manhattan’s First Vodka Distillery & Bar Since The Prohibition
Our/NewYork is a global distillery that recently started whipping up vodka right here in NYC.

The Manhattan distillery is the borough’s first since the days of Prohibition, and is actually considered a micro-distillery (but isn’t everything in Manhattan “micro”?). Our/Vodka may be a global brand, but the company prides itself on using local ingredients in each unique city where they have distilleries. For New York, they “source the finest quality and most locally available rectified spirit (corn)” and, as their site “simply put” it:

We use the same water as New York City pizza and bagels, so you know that’s good.

The small sleek bottles are served at various bars across the city, but you can also find them at the bar attached to the distillery itself. Located in Chelsea at 151 West 26th Street, the full service bar offers about 12 cocktails specifically using the Our/New York Vodka along with a handful of other cocktails and small bites.

But before hitting the bar, you might want to schedule yourself a 20-minute distillery tour through the facility! At the end of the tour you’ll have an opportunity to enjoy a tasting of the Our/NewYork vodka and those who visit are the only ones who will have a chance to enjoy their limited 100-proof AfterDark label that is only available at the distillery.

Tours are available on Fridays and Saturdays, but the bar is open from Monday through Thursday, 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., and then Fridays and Saturdays from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Our/Vodka is partly distilled, blended, hand bottled and labeled in the Chelsea micro-distillery. They have local vodka creations (and distilleries) in London, Berlin, Amsterdam, Los Angeles, Detroit, now New York and soon in Miami.
