A new “Elevated” beer garden and restaurant has hit the city just in time for the summer. The venue is serving up 15 beers on tap and a mouthwatering seafood-focused menu.
Not all beer gardens are created equal. Everyone has its own unique flaw, too much/not enough shade, you can smell the potting garbage from the streets… you get it. One new city beer garden is mixing rooftop drinking, beer garden and restaurant to offer up a top notch summer venue that is sure to take the city by storm.
The new outdoor “elevated beer garden” and restaurant, Estate Garden Grill, launched last week, June 14, in the Ravel Hotel’s new 10-story Estate Tower in long island city next to the Queensboro Bridge.
The spectacular rooftop features tables and chairs on an Astroturf patio overlooking the street below, think garden party meets swanky NYC rooftop. In addition to serving up 15 beers on tap, the drink menu includes plenty of harder alcohol to help you cool off; margaritas, frozen rosé on tap with other delicious house cocktails.
It doesn’t end with drinks, the food is out of this world too. The kitchen is run by the head chef at Hotel Chantelle on the LES, Seth Levine (as seen on TV’s “Hells Kitchen”). There is a seafood focus on the food, things like raw oysters, tuna poke, ceviche, a classic lobster roll and three kinds of sushi rolls. Don’t worry if you’re into more traditional bar food, you’ll also find burgers, bratwurst, chicken and vegetable skewers, salads on offer.
Estate Garden Grill is open Wednesdays to Sundays from 3 to 10 pm. THIS is the perfect time of year to step up your beer garden game.
