Last year we were baffled to be telling you that a disco party centered around spaghetti was on its way to NYC, but it did, in fact, happening. And now it’s happening again!
Back by popular demand, spaghetti and disco will collide once again this April at the elegant yet funky lounge and nightclub Georgia Room.
The spaghetti disco is brought to you by Bianca Bosso, the mastermind behind the brand BUNX, and if pasta-shaped fashion is your jam you’re in luck–jewelry and accessories brand BUNX will be in attendance, offering up pasta-shaped jewelry and other paraphernalia.
But beyond the jewelry, the Spaghetti Disco is all about “embracing the flavors of Italy and taking a step back to the disco era of the ’70s,” according to BUNX’s website.
In true Georgia Room fashion, regulars and visitors alike are invited to get saucy and dress to impress–and this year’s disco is Mob Wife Edition. Think: faux fur, oversized sunnies, chunky gold jewelry, and leopard print everythingggg.
(For style inspo just channel your inner Carmela Soprano or Adriana La Cerva from The Sopranos, Ray Liotta and Lorraine Bracco from Goodfellas, or Michael Corleone and Talia Shire in The Godfather.)
Bosso promises the Spaghetti Disco will be a night of “pasta, dancing, and all-out disco fun.” You’ll dance under a glittering disco ball to DJ sets by AMALIE, PopSamCam, and Bosso herself DJing under her music alias BUNX.
Arriving guests will be greeted with Prosecco and red wine–perfect for setting the mood for a night of Italian indulgence.
And, as promised, there will also be spaghetti: dance floor spaghetti served at 10 pm by Chef Torrin Emory to be exact, to satisfy your mob-sized appetite with a meal fit for a Soprano (vegan and gluten-free options will be available as well)!
The Spaghetti Disco will boogie down on Thursday, April 25th, from 8 pm to late at the Georgia Room (23 Lexington Ave 2nd floor). More info can be found here.
So grab your plate and get ready to boogie down while slurping up pasta! Heck, eat your pasta Lady and the Tramp style if your heart so desires! One thing is true–you’ll arrive hungry and leave pasta happy.
