At TAP (which stands for Tapicoa, Açaí, Pão de queijo), they strive to offer gluten-free, nutritious and authentic Brazilian foods! Thanks to their organic ingredients that come from sustainable and local distributors, TAP carries its mission across the board to provide foods that are minimally processed and gluten-free.
Their specialties are the Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) with a unique blend of cheese and the Tapioca Sandwiches, in which the Chicken Club is one of the best. They also have egg wraps, as well as cold treats like smoothies and açaí bowls!

The original owner of this spot had celiac disease and wanted to provide options for others with the same condition! Sans Bakery is a 100% gluten-free bakery in NYC. The owner also has a wheat allergy and felt that there needed to be a place dedicated to others with the same problem. Since 2017, they’ve been serving a variety of cakes, bars, cookies, brownies, donuts, and loaves of bread sure to suit any craving. We’re all constantly searching for the best bagel or BEC in NYC, and we think Modern Bread & Bagel are in the running! This spot serves entirely gluten-free bagels and sandwiches option is an absolute “must-hit for anyone gluten-free visiting NYC.” Of course, they all the classics like “build your own bagel,” BECs, brunch options, and even salads and drinks. Literally anything you get here is bound to be delicious, and you probably can’t even tell it’s gluten-free!

10. Tacombi Bleecker, Greenwich Village
While Tacombi Bleecker doesn’t specify itself as gluten-free, its menu items are reflective of that by using corn tortillas rather than flour. This Mexican restaurant counts on simple and sustainable ingredients that are free from GMOs, antibiotics, preservatives, and artificial additives.
The menu is short, to the point, and includes a variety of Entradas, tacos, tostadas, quesadillas, burritos, and a variety of beverages from margaritas to sangria.

Therefore, Dosa Royale and their delicious dosas that can come filled with a variety of different flavors are the perfect gluten-free meal. 12. Toad Style, Bed-Stuy
Not only is Toad Style vegan, but it’s also mostly gluten-free even with some minor changes. Just let them know! They can easily alter one of their sandwiches to gluten-free by putting them on a corn tortilla rather than bread. Grab one of their delicious sandwiches (like the “Sunshine Burger” or “California Burger”) or split some sides with friends. This place is extremely accommodating so don’t be afraid to ask!
